USS Midway

USS Midway Museum is a historical naval aircraft carrier museum located in downtown San Diego, California at Navy Pier. A short 7.5 mile drive from the condo, the museum is a great way to spend 3-4 hours looking through all the exhibits! There are hangar exhibits, flight deck exhibits, below deck exhibits, and aircraft exhibits. As you make your way through the exhibits, you can listen through earphones as the narrator describes the Midway stories. For an extra fee, there are activities such as virtual flight simulator aerial combat rides where you control all the action. You can also do other activities like Battle of Midway Theater, Junior Pilot Program and more. When you are finished going through the museum, there are souvenir stores to go through to purchase merchandise. It’s a fun way to spend the day learning all about the USS Midway!
